I keep having this error anytime i open a program. But sometimes it happends at random.

"Windows has excountered a problem and needs to close"

Something like that^^

What can the problem be?

Are you using Windows XP?

This issue occurs when the program's Windows compatibility mode is set to Windows 98 or Windows ME, and you leave the display settings for the program blank, or you select 640 x 800.


So let's try this:

Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories, and then click Program Compatibility Wizard >> Next >> Click I want to choose from a list of programs >> Next >> Select the program that you were attempting to use >> Next.

Under Select a compatibility mode for the program, click Do not apply a compatibility mode >> Next >> Under Select display settings for the program, click Next.

If you are asked whether you want to simulate administrative privileges, do not select anything, and then click Next >> Click Next under Test your compatibility settings.

The program that you selected starts. This allows you to test whether the program functions correctly with the new settings.

When you are finished testing the program, quit the program, Click Yes, set this program to always use these compatibility settings, and then click Next.

plz note that even though the error comes on, it does not close the application...

Well, there's nothing I can do about that. But I'm glad it's working.
