HELP I HAVE Trojan.Zlob.G

I have it...just like a lot of others....I don't know how or why but I need to get rid of it ASAP. Symptoms: The security center alert warning pops up every few minutes and Firefox crashed twice...My computer froze and shut off by itself before and I tried to run a lot of other antivirus programs but they only detect viruses and don't delete them. Wow...You're a genius.... I still have a number of questions though

1. How did I get this virus? Downloading to many things?
2. Are all the viruses on my computer gone or just the Trojan?
3. Do you have any way to tell if anything was stolen from my computer?
4. What can I do to prevent things like this from happening? What's the best (free) program I can use to protect myself from viruses?

Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.
Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 11.
  
• Select the first option where it says "Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 11".
  
• Click the "Download" button to the right.
  
• In the Window that opens, select your platform and language, check the "agree" box, and click Continue.
  
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
  
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add or Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  - Examples of older versions in Add or Remove Programs:
  - Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2
  - J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
  - J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2
  
  While your uninstalling old version of Java, uninstall these items too:
  Viewpoint Media Player
  WildTangent Web Driver
  
  
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u11-windows-i586-p.exe that you downloaded to install the newest version.
  

Please make sure the new version of Java is installed before you run JavaRa.

• First, unzip it.
  
• Then run JavaRa.
  
• Select English from the drop down menu and press Select.
  
• This will open JavaRa.
  
• Press Remove older versions
  
• Press yes to the prompt.
  
• It will make a log file of what it's removed.
  
• Copy and paste the log back here.

I downloaded a ton of programs to try and get rid of this thing...Avast, SUPERAntiSpyware, SpyBot, Malwarebytes' Anti Malware....


Should I get rid of them since they did not help me? And what about ComboFix and HiJackThis? Should those be uninstalled too?

You could get rid of Spybot, but SAS/MBAM both do an awesome job.

You can delete HJT and combofix.

Below I have included a number of recommendations for how to protect your computer in order to prevent future malware infections. Please take these recommendations seriously; these few simple steps can stave off the vast majority of spyware problems. 1) Please navigate to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the "critical updates" for Windows. This can patch many of the security holes through which attackers can gain access to your computer.

Please either enable Automatic Updates under Start -> Control Panel -> Automatic Updates , or get into the habit of checking for Windows updates regularly. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

2) In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:

Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. Good, except I just noticed something strange. When I go into the Control Panel and put it on Classic view I see the "Web Driver Control Panel". I guess I should just ignore it like you said.

One more question (lol sorry for taking up so much of your time, but I am just making sure)Windows Security Alerts asks me if "I have an AntiVirus program that I'll monitor myself" I should check that box right? Because I have SUPERAnitSpyware but I thought that just scans my computer fro viruses and doesn't stop them. I also have Microsoft Windows Malicious Software removal tool, do I really need that since I have SAS?
