I do however notice QQ, it's a chinese like msn.

If you did install it, no problem.
If you didn't please uninstall it.

But the screen not working is a hardware failure, so moved to hardware forum.

Could be a number of things.

• Power cable is failing/doesn't work. Switch it and try another power cable.
  
• Could be the graphics card fault, switch it and try a different one.
  
• Try a different monitor.
  

this only started to happen 2-3 months ago while my siblings were messing around with my pc, ive put it on hold cuz it didnt seem like a big issue but now its getting pretty annoying

Your computer seems to be free from Malware, so it should be a hardware fault.

Is your computer taking 10 minutes to start up or is the monitor taking 10 minutes to start? Meaning does the monitor display an image only after 10 minutes?

oh..sry i wasnt specific, yes it is as you say my monitor display an image only after 10 minutes

It can be taking long to display an image for one or more of these reasons:

1. The converter is faulty. (Your monitor will need to be replaced)

>> Try using the monitor on another computer (or try using another monitor known to work well, on your computer) to see if it still takes as long. If it does, see number 2. If it doesn't see number 3.


2. Your computer's graphics card is taking some time to transmit instructions (Try updating your drivers)


3. Or your video card is failing (Your video card, or if you have 'on-board video' in which your video made directly from the motherboard will need to be replaced.)

>> Your motherboard/video card is damaged/failing and will need to be replaced. If you have a video card, try using your on-board VGA port. Or if you are using on-board video, you will need to replace your motherboard or install a video card.
