Massif winrar problem!

Hey guys long time no see!

Ok, i've got a little bug with WINRAR that i never seen before! Started a few days ago, for every files that i try to extract, now, i get the messages of ERROR like these:

! F:\Documents and Settings\Woodbum\My Documents\Downloads\Compressed\bla bla bla.part1.rar: Packed data CRC failed in blablabla.avi. The volume is corrupt
! F:\Documents and Settings\Woodbum\My Documents\Downloads\Compressed\blablabla part3.rar: Packed data CRC failed in blablabla.avi. The volume is corrupt
! F:\Documents and Settings\Woodbum\My Documents\Downloads\Compressed\blablabla.part4.rar: CRC failed in blablabla.avi. The file is corrupt

I DWL everything with IDM and never had this problem before!!!
As per my machine, i scanned, cleaned, reinstall WINRAR 3.80, try with WINZIP, search every where and now desperate! Actually, really intrigue!
Funny fact about it is that i activated in the extract window "keep broken files" and it does extract every thing to the folder that i specified, even if i get all the error message but, the darn what ever as extracted, is working fine!!!!

I read somewhere that the drivers for the "network adapter" could be the problem or the antivirus, or the firewall, or etc etc etc!!!

Kind a check it all and still no difference!
Would appreciate some help with this since your the PROS!
By the way i work in DUAL BOOT and it does it as well on XP as on Vista!

Don't download with IDM, download straight from the source, they should be fine then.

!!! That was not the kind of answer i was expecting!
Why? Still does the same, i already tried it.
Problem doesn't come from there unless you know a better downloader then IDM?

I have no idea, but you can post a log in Malware Removal and I'll give it a look.

If a big file is split between a few volumes and only one volume has been damaged after archive creation.

Depending on corrupt archive details, RAR may display or skip this message. The message "CRC failed in file name. The file is corrupt" is always displayed if the file data are damaged.

I know Doc, but still, the files are actually OK! Every thing i download is like that, on every way it can be downloaded!
With IDM, without it, from Firefox, IE, fileget, bla bla bla. I tried it all!!
But when i want to extract, instead of "extracting here" i specify a folder and from the command promp:

i keep the broken files, the darn , whatever i have, gives me the error report but is actually working fine!!??

Man this is driving me nuts!!
Could it be because of a bad "network adapter" driver? Or a virus?
I've tried with WINZIP, ALPHAZIP, ALZIP, 7ZIP,WINRAR 3.80(from Rarlab) and it does it under all does apps..................

Haaargh! LOL Took me two days to setup my Dual Boot and it was perfect till this!
I'm not redoing it all Nooooooooooooo way LOL

If you create two parts then try to join them does it still not work?

Ok, I just figured, such CRC errors may be the result of hardware problems. For example, it could be bad memory or overclocked CPU. WinRAR is very sensitive to such kind of hardware faults, much more sensitive than most of other programs.

Please use the build in "Benchmark and Hardware Test" function of WinRAR,
or check your hardware with a hardware check tool.

You should run it for some hours, to see whether it reports errors.

It performs basic RAR checks, but sometimes that is not enough to detect a hardware problem.

Solved the problem right away, but now, it's not fair..............

I'ved lower the FSB from 395 to 373 and works OK and kept the MEM to automatic. Just had to save an overclock profile with the turbo boost setting and a regular one to prevent this from happening
