How to Limit Bandwidth for Windows 10 Updates
The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update has a new options that allow you to manage Windows updates bandwidth.
Throttling down the bandwidth for updates on Windows 10 can help updates not interfering with your other online activities while they are still downloading.
Open Start Menu > Settings > Update & Security > Advanced options > Delivery Optimization > Advanced options.
In this Settings window, you will have access to several advanced options that allow you to set limits for upload and download settings.
Simply check the ones you want to throttle and adjust the slider accordingly. Note that the Upload setting is used to adjust the speed at which this PC will update other PC on the Internet.
You can also enable a cap on monthly upload limits.
You can use the Activity Monitor window to determine how to set bandwidth limits.
From the “Delivery Optimization” window select the Activity Monitor link.
Activity Monitor window shows both download and upload statistics for the month.
