I noticed when I am on Skype lately, if I was browsing a store, the next day those ads would appear on Skype.
Is there a security setting to turn this off somewhere? I am kind of annoyed that it is able to access my search history like that.
I am not even entirely sure how it works. lol

Most likely it is on Google or Bing's ad network, to which an ad opt-out would be necessary.


It might help to opt out of both:
Google: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en
Bing: https://choice.microsoft.com/
