I'd like to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan

•Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.

•Click the button.
•For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)

• Click on to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.

Apologies for the tardy reply but it has taken awhile for me to get an idea about how the computer is presently working.The day after the ESET scan was very frustrating,the computer ran like an exhausted horse and the usual plague of plugin and script errors took on an orgiastic fever...the computer said it best and kept repeating it as long as I was on it."Not Responding". I feared for the worst.
The next day I was not able to get on much but strangely all the bad things seemed in recession.Things seemed even better the next session. However 2 or 3 days after the scan,problems with Kaspersky developed which took basically two days to resolve. So I've not spent a great deal of time messing about online yet but I'd have to say I think I'm noticing improvement. So,thank you for that! Still I must ask if you think that that running the Malwarebyte root kit scan (if I can run it) would still be a wise thing to do? Thanks again.

Yes, please run it and post the log. Do you have the Vista disk or do you have a Recovery on your hard drive?
