Hi there GeekPolice Smile...

I recently uploaded a video I created onto both myspace and youtube. The myspace one works fine but the You tube one has a couple of patchy bits where the graphics get all botched in greens and red colours or goes patchy - this happens 3 times in the video - the audio works fine.

But since its happening on youtube and not myspace the problem is not the video. You Tube recommends installing latest graphics driver and was about to install the Intell Graphics Media Accelorator - but decided to check in with GeekPolice first as I don't want to risk messing up my laptop...

What would you advise..??

Many thanks
Aviva

I'm not at all familiar with graphic cards. However, I'd think any graphic card that has been made in the last 6 years should handle YouTube.

I've had problems with YouTube not feeding video fast enough to keep the buffer full. When that happens, the video stops playing. I'd give it a minute and click the Play. That would work until the buffer emptied and I'd repeat the routine.

How is your connection speed?

Aviva, whenever I've seen pixelated, artifacts in Adobe Flash I quickly fix the problem by right clicking the video, choosing the Settings tab and unchecking Use Hardware Acceleration. That should do the trick for ya
