Hello to all
Running XP Pro SP3 on a Dell Vostro 1310 and i've been having a recurring problem.
Whenever I shut down and reboot, I get the BSOD and the page fault error message.
If i then restart, hit F8 to get to the startup options, and then "Last known settings that worked", the PC boots to Windows and all is almost well.. no power icon in the tray and a couple of other issues.
I ran chckdsk /r from the recovery console after running it from safe mode w/command prompt.
I also performed a system restore and no joy. I have to keep using F8 and "last known good configuration" to get into Windows.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
