Constant crashes with STO, and now blue screens

Greetings it's been a long time since I was here.
Recently, I started playing Star Trek Online. After a few days, the frequency of STO's crashes increased. After a few days they stopped then started back up again. Now, about 3 weeks later, I not only have constant crashes with STO, but I'm getting different blue screens periodically (usually when I'm gaming).

I have not been able to photograph the previous blue screens, but today I managed to get one: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
There are no accompanying codes underneath.
Brief history: I updated my Catalyst drivers; at one point I installed windows updates (stupid me). And today I uninstalled there updates that I made. Last time I installed updates for Windows (7), was about 12 months ago when I still had my computer in Greece. I am now in Toronto. But I digress.
After uninstalling the recent windows updates, and uninstalling catalyst drivers - then reinstalling Catalyst drivers - I am still getting a blue screen (while gaming). Also for a a couple of hours after uninstalling the windows updates STO has not crashed.
And yes, I have sent numerous data dumps with STO, made an open ticket, but it has been a few weeks and no response.
I have Hijack This and dxdiag reports, but I don't know how to attach them here.

you can copy and paste the logs for someone to see. If they are too long for one post it is okay to use several to get all the information posted.

I see that nobody has responded to my post.
Here is some more information - i hope somebody will give me some answers this time (from my post on the STO forums http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=312581 ):

When I started playing Star trek Online a few months ago. I initially never had any crashes. Just some graphical issues which i suppose were solved by catalyst updates (later I wiped my hard-drive and reinstalled windows).
about 3 months ago STO would start to crash frequently. Every time i run the game there was high frequency sounds coming from the fan that helps cool my GPU. When I updated my BIOS, my system was quite as a mouse during gaming. But after about 10 days those high frequencies popped up again and STO started crashing frequntly - with the periodic BSOD thrown in for good measure.
Most of the crashes occurs with only the game crashing and then asking you to send a dump.
The bsods that would periodically pop up would mostly indicate IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Sometimes the bsods would reference system files.
I took in my PC for diagnostics. Torture test and other stuff were run on RAM and the other hardware for 24 hours straight each time, with absolutely no problems.
I'm at a loss. Could my AMD based system be causing the crashes? or could the STO program be detecting something in my windows files that it doesn't like?
One gamer mentioned that the stuff in my sys.ini file was very old. But i don't see how that would be a problem.

Here is my hardware:

- AMD PHENOM II X4 965 3.4GHZ QUAD CORE BLACK BOX EDITION
- GIGABYTE RADEON HD5770 GV-R577SO-1GD SUPER OVERCLOCK 1GB PCI-E RETAIL
- GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 RETAIL (motherboard)
- Thermaltake Litepower 600 (psu) model: LP-600AL2NH
Note: the original stock heat sink on my GPU was removed and coupled with an Accelero S1 Plus VGA cooler
- Case: Thermaltake (apparently thermal take has remove this case from their site since the link i originally had is now invalid)

If anybody can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. when I recently reinstalled windows the old windows folder was isolated and named Windows_Old. When I attempted to erase it it took a very long time. So i cancelled the operation, but then the folder disappeared - but the space it took up on my HD wasn't freed. I don't know if that even remotely is related to my problem

P.S.S if my memory serves me correctly, I had a few crashes with Duke Nukem Forever as well. I haven't played it in a while. I've mainly been addicted to STO.

MORE RECENT NEWS: I took my pc in for diagnostics. They ran torture and error tests of every kind that they had - i think - for approximately 36 hours, continuously. They said there were no crashes or errors of any kind.
For a moment they were getting errors from the ram, but when they took the sticks out and replaced them again, they didn't get errors.
When I went to pick up my rig, they mentioned high frequencies being heard from my rig (which is what I usually hear when running games).
One technician said it might be good to replace the GPU. Could THAT be the problem??

P.S. a few days ago I erased and reinstalled my OS. But i still get crashes while gaming. No BSODs so far....*crossing fingers*

I do still get game crashes. Even with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. And the usual abundant crashes with STO.
It seem nobody has looked at my posts. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think i finally solved the problem. No thanks to anybody here or on the Star Trek Online forums.
One friend told me to go into the BIOS and lower my memory clock ratio from 1333 to 1054(?).
So far no crashes.

its been several months. absolutely no problems after i lower the memory clock.
