HELP, need to recovery 400gb of data from a mirrored Dynamic disk (no backup)

I have recently attempted to upgrade a Dell PowerEdge 840 server from 2 mirrored and dynamic 500gb drives to 2 1TB mirrored drives. The SAS 5/ir controller had the 2nd mirrored pair removed and I now need to recover the data from the 2 500gb drives (approx 400gb of data). I am unable to restored the raid 1 configuration from the drives back to the controller (after 5+ hours of phone support with Dell).

When I connect each drive seperately to another system, they come up as Unallocated and show up as having been Dynamic drives in the mirrored set. I am currently attempting a data recovery on one of the drives, but looking for a speedier and more effective way to recover the important data fromt he 2nd mirrored drive.

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated.

Tried raid 0 the 2 mirrored drive on the same system before transferring?

as long as the data on that disk is not overwritten by new data, the chances of recovering the lost data can be big.
