Hey guys,

I have been trying to install a design software program for work and I am being told by the tech it will not run properly because my "Visual C++ 2008" is not installing correctly.

Do you have any advice on how to make this work again?

Thank you!

Hi there,

You could start by removing all the VC++ components from your Add or Remove Programs and then remove that designer software you have installed. Then reboot and install it. If that program is designed to check the the prerequisites then it should install it automatically. So you could download it from the Microsoft website.

I will give that a shot and let you know. I believe I was being advised that the problem was it was not reinstalling automatically / having problems while trying to do that.

If I were to delete the vc++ and have problems, am I looking at having issues with my computer? I can't really afford to have any more downtime on this comp. I was hit with a very bad virus the other week and it took about a week to get it back to health. Thanks to you guys!

Hi.

Some network cards use Visual C++ Redistributable Package so it might be best to have your installation discs nearby. Smile...
