Security Warning- wuauclt.exe is infected

Hi everyone,
It's been 2 days now since the Security Warning window keeps popping up constantly.
It states that the file wuauclt.exe is infected. I'm not sure what it is. Also, since this Security Warning windows keeps popping up, I have not been able to access any microsoft documents, powerpoints, notes and such.
** I also was going to install Norton 360 4.0 but I don't know why it's not working.
Please help me! >_<
