Having random but unusual freezes and automatic restarts.

Hello,
My computer is a Dell Dimension 4700. I've had this computer for about 7 years and up til a few days ago it's always been working well. Recently, while running some 3D games, or even just surfing the web, my computer has been restarting with no error code or BSOD. Sometimes it also freezes up, as in my mouse cursor won't move and the keyboard is unresponsive. I've never had any problems like this before, and I do have some clues as to what could be the cause of my computer failures. I am going to post the OTL log file, just in case it's actually a virus, malware problem. If not then I do have a hunch that it could be my cooling fan/graphics card fan, or my computer's PSU. In other sites I've also read that the cause might be an error in one of the windows services. I've even done a full factory restore and the problem still persists, so I am really frustrated by this dilemma.

I successfully ran ComboFix, but it took me two tries. On my first try, my computer froze before ComboFix finished scanning for malware. It completed the scan the second time but my computer froze right after. I haven't tested if my computer still has issues.

The crashes still persist, so now I am seriously suspecting it could be a hardware issue. I would still like to make sure that it isn't malware, since i've been reading around a lot that services can cause crashes and restarts like what I'm experiencing.

I solved the problem by updating graphics card drivers. It really was a hardware problem.

Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bolded text into the Run box and click OK:

ComboFix /uninstall

This will also reset your restore points.

Run ESET Online Scan
Please do an online scan with ESET Online Scanner. Please use Internet Explorer as it uses ActiveX.

• Check (tick) this box: YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
  
• Click on the Start button next to it.
