Monitor flashes intermittently

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 731b Monitor that is over 3 years old and I use Window XP. The monitor will intermittently flash like it's reloading the icons. It also flashes intermittently when I turn the monitor on. Besides that it is working fine. Is it the monitor or would it be in the computer?

Hi, that is monitor or cable problem. Try to unplug monitor from computer and check cable. If you have new cable it would be good to replace it. If that didn't help, it's your monitor problem.
