" Your computer is infected"

That is the top line of a pop up window that is connected to a red dot ( with a white X in it) at the bottom of the screen.
The message goes on to say: "Windows has detected spyware infection! It is recomened to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss."

I definitely need help getting rid of this infection so I can put this computer back to work.
OS XP Home Ed. 32bit

BTW, I am not particularly computer saavy.

Hello

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
  

Thanks for the quick response. I have downloaded OTL and run the scan. The two logs are saved, I do not know how to post the logs to this thread.Please advse.
