Anyone else manage to get this software installed on Vista or XP?

I did not test it, but I use Xilisoft Video Converter 3, as far as I know it converts all the formats. But it's not free.

And about your error, the process ffmpeg.exe belongs to the software Videora iPod Converter or PSP Video or ffmpeg.exe or PS3 Video. Perhaps there might references causing the problem.

Yeah i thought about that too Doc but im gettin lazy in my old age now and sometimes i just cant be bothered looking deeper into some issues!

Not so long ago i would have dismantled it wanting to know why i couldnt get it to work but these days if it wont come to the party, it's filed in the trash can.

Does it let you get some audio from a video, and just save it as audio?

Well i have certainly used super converter and I would say that its damn powerful and has amazing features. I have used it on vista but i only had one issue that many times the drag and drop wont work at all, it would freeze althogh after sometime it would work nicely without any issues.

The other converters/encoders for file compression I used are avs, xilisoft, nch,divx ,quicktime pro , sony vegas pro & few online converters but out of all i would say that adobe media encoder impresssed me . Its simply does the job very very nicely and without any problems and produces high quality results for encoding along with file compression and bit rate.But its totally the personal preference what suits the needs of a person for the kind of compression one is looking forward to and what one likes using oftenly.
