antivir solution pro

Does anyone happen to know if the antivir solution pro has to be downloaded or can it just appear on your computer. My computer was being used by someone else and is now infected. This person says they didn't download anything so I'm just checking. thanks for any information.

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
  

Sorry, but I am not computer literate. Where would I find OTL.exe? I'm not sure virus will allow me to do anything-I can't even restore the operating system. What will posting these logs tell you? Thank you for your help.

No. thanks anyway. i really appreciate your help. the computer is 5 yrs old, and i was looking into a new one anyway. i was just curious if this particular virus has to be downloaded to infect the computer or if it's possible for this virus to infect on its own-not thru emails, attachments or anything like that. turn the computer off one night and it's fine, the next day when you turn it on, it's infected.
