I am trying to update QuickTime and I keep getting this error message:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'QuickTime.msi' in the box below"

It says "The older version of QuickTime cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."

The installation box for QuickTime for Windows shows "Status: Removing applications - Application: {A429C2AE-EBF1-4F81-A221-1C115CAADDAD}, Command li.."

I have tried Add/Remove, but it gives me this message in a box called "Windows Installer" - "The path 'C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Apple\Apple Software Update\QuickTime.msi' cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'QuickTime.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product QuickTime."

I am not on a network, I can not find the file QuickTime.msi on my computer.

I looked at an earlier entry back in 2009 regarding this issue but got a '404' message when I tried to follow the link.

Can you help?
