  • Copy the commands with file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

Sorry for the delay. I travel a lot.

Yes...I get errors related to Net Framework on boot, and another related to Abobe PDF, and no PDF documents can be opened. I'm thinking that the issue is not an infection at this point, but rather a corrupted Windows install. If I can get the info, I can post the specific errors, but at this point I'm leaning towards blasting the whole install and grabbing the XP disk.

Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE

  • Double click and run the installer.
  • It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  • After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  • Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.
