Avast 5 !!!

Hi guys ! I just wanna try avast version 5 . does anyone tried it already and has any positive opinion on that ? also mention negative opinions ..

I have tried Avast! 5, because I have WIN7 64-bit and Avast! is one of the few AV options available in 64-bit.
I like Avast! a lot and think it is a very good and complete antivirus with its various modules. You cannot really go wrong going with this, it can easily compete with all other free AV´s and with a lot of commercial AVs as well.

One more note: I think it is a waste of time trying to compare AV´s. The differences are not that big, just go with whatever pleases you. If you want to invest time in securing your computer, do it by adding new defense lines, like a firewall, a second on-demand scanner, a good backup/imaging program, sandboxie and user accounts without administrative permissions.

What do you mean? Do you mean if Avast produces false positives?

It probably will, but not much. Not as high as AVG at least.

Not as much as Avira Antivir, in my opinion.
