kaspersky

Hello every one, I am new to the community and wanted to know if any one has had this problem before;

I unistalled kaspersky from my pc, it took me a while because it wouldn't let me do it through the [install/uninstall programs] tab. I don't see it at all om my computer any more as an installed program. Problem is I am trying to install McAfee and it tells me that I have to remove Kaspersky from my system, but how do I remove something I don't see?

Download Kaspesky virus removal tool by doing the following:
Download Kaspersky Removal Tool from kaspersky site.

After you finish downloading, unzip it. and don't do anything else yet.

Re-start your comp. in safe mode, once you are on safe mode, click on your unzipped kavremover9.exe and a window will be opened. You will see some code and a white box. Enter the visible code to the white box and click on Remove button. Now, Kaspersky will be uninstalled and after uninstalling Kaspersky, restar your computer and start Windows normally.

It should now be out of comp.
