please help!

When I startup I get the following error:
windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system

It says to insert the cd and press R , however i don't have the cd.
Is there any other way of solving this problem?

i pretty sur there is nothing other then running the repair function, in some way. you dont necessarily need the windows cd from what i can remember winternals has the function if it can still recognize what version you have but i have never used that function in it b4 i would also not trust it as much as the official windows cd
