so my laptop, an HP Pavillion DV-1431us (Originally a Vista, but upgraded to Windows 7), has had problems right before I upgraded, but I managed to solve and/or suppress the problem. Currently, I have a 320 GB HD Laptop with 4 GB ram and a Lightscribe DVD Drive, a wireless optical mouse, and an internet problem.
Every time I go online, my computer crashes for no reason, and I don't know what the cause is. I cant use Bootlogger mode since I have to force shut down the laptop. When I'm offline, I can do whatever I want, but when I'm online, the computer will crash with the use of an internet application of one form or another, such as the Opera Browser, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Mozilla based browser. So I talked with a friend of mine at the nearby college (who also posted on the forum) and said that there must be an application interfering with the OS. The only time that I am able to even use online applications is when I disable the startup items and/or use safe mode. Unfortunately, that was all that he was able to do. Since this only happened not too long ago, I feel very uncomfortable using my laptop.
