Database for Computer Specifications?

Hello All ,


I being a computer consultant and computer service business owner would like to know if there is a program or website with all the specifications from computer manafacturers such as HP, Dell , Acer and etc?

I have a few computers that have the model number listed and when I go to website for the company and model never gives me specs? Time to start a Access or Filemaker database of my own?

I don't know if there is any sites like this but would be interested to know myself if there is.

Regarding your query, maybe I'm coming at this from the wrong angle but would something like Belarc Advisor help? It tells you an awful lot of info on the system you're working on like all the detail on hardware, CPU, memory, and hotfixes, security details and software serial keys.

At least if you had to start your own database too you could take info from the logs created by running this software.
