ran ie fix utility, i think. it was very quick after i clicked run and nothing changed. I cannot get on with ie, which i only use occasionally, but mozilla is only working here and there. Have to reboot to get on. I still cannot update malwarebytes still getting the error 732, wondering if it is trying to go thru ie to update.

When i installed eset it made me enter default proxy setting of 3128, i don't know what the proxy setting was before that and maybe this is my problem.

Please start Internet Explorer, and when the program is open, click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.
  • Now click on the Connections tab and then the Lan Settings button
  • Under the Proxy Server section, please uncheck the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN. Then press the OK button to close this screen. Then press the Apply button and then the OK button to close the Internet Options screen. Now that you have disabled the proxy server you will be able to browse the web again with Internet Explorer.

Please download F-Secure's Blacklight from F-Secure.com

  • Save it to your Desktop
  • Double-click fsbl.exe then accept the agreement.
  • click > scan then > next,
  • You'll see a list of all items found.
  • Don't choose for rename yet! I want to see the log first, because legit items can also be present there...
  • There must be also a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers)
  • Post the contents of the log in your next reply.
