Internet connected but browser not working.

Hello

I was browsing when all of a sudden the browsers stopped working. Internet was connected but the pages wont open. I am using wireless broadband and there are 3 other laptops in the house on which internet is working just fine.

I have tried the following things
1. Reinstalling Drivers for WLAN card
2. ipconfig/release, ipconfig/renew
3. Installed Winsockfix, which got my ip address back, but still cant browse

So the problem of limited connectivity is gone, but I cant browse. I installed Hijackthis, and posted the log below.

Hello.

Check there is no proxy setting, but if there is, remove it.

Remove the Proxy setting in Internet Explorer and/or in FireFox.

In Internet Explorer

1. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.
   

In Firefox

1. Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection > Choose "No Proxy"
   
2. Click the apply button and restart that computer in normal mode.
   

Both are unchecked. I just used Mozilla, opened a few websites from bookmarks, headlines etc. They opened. But when I typed gmail.com mozilla crashed.

Help? Please? I need my laptop to work.

Download ATF Cleaner

• Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  
• Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
  
• Click the Empty Selected button.
  

If you use Firefox browser, do this also:

• Click Firefox at the top and choose Select All from the list.
  
• Click the Empty Selected button.
  
• NOTE : If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
  

If you use Opera browser, do this also:

Hey I installed malware bytes anti malware, and it worked, i tried atf as well, it freed a lot of space, thank you for the help. you guys are awsesome!
