I use FF as my primary.

I also have a home network. We understood that the router has a firewall. Is this not so?

Could you tell me where/how we got the malware? Was it anything in particular that we should be careful about or was it just a lack of firewall and surfing?

Even if your router has a firewall, you need a software firewall as well.

You have been a huge help! I appreciate your time and knowledge! I wonder if this could be the issue with one of our other computers, which I can no longer boot up.
