Security System 2009 Malware infection - major performance issues

Last night my system was attacked by the Security System 2009 malware. I research various fixes online, and per instructions I saw commonly, I renamed the folder and file in my application data directory; it was initially named as c:\documents and settings\*my username*\local settings\application data\tsuxea\neuqsysguard.exe
(which is different from most people who seem to report a long string of numbers in the folder & file of the malware), and i renamed each as "2222" per instructions.

I restarted in Safe Mode, and ran Malwarebytes to try to solve the problem. I've also downloaded and installed additional anti-virus/anti-malware programs Vipre and Microsoft Security Essentials.

However, I am still having major performance issues - my Task Manager does not display correctly, my computer is extremely slow, and my Internet Explorer is not connecting to the INternet (only my Firefox, which I'm currently running, is functioning). PLEASE HELP!

• Open HijackThis
  
• Choose "Do a system scan only"
  
• Check the boxes in front of these lines:

Remove the Proxy setting in Internet Explorer and/or in FireFox.

In Internet Explorer

1. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.
   

In Firefox

1. Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection > Choose "No Proxy"
   
2. Click the apply button and restart that computer in normal mode.
   

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.
