os-guard removal Antivirus Live

My daughter's laptop has this scareware on it and I'm at my wits end on how to remove it. Luckily, she's getting a new laptop for Christmas.

I cannot run MalwareBytes or install any other spyware/malware scanner. The virus says the file is infected and points me to the os-guard website.

I cannot run TaskManager. Same thing...says the file is infected.

I cannot run Regedit. Same thing...says file is infected.

I cannot run Cmd. Same thing...says file is infected.

I cannot run Windows Explorer.

I cannot run HijackThis.

I cannot boot into any of the safe modes. I get a stop error.

I can run Avast, but it doesn't find anything. I ran its boot scan and several things were deleted/removed. Computer is still infected.

I'm off to run another boot scan.

Any ideas? We still need to get files off her computer. Mainly, iTunes downloads and some schoolwork... I would rather not have to reformat if I can help it. I can get to a file manager when I plug in a USB thumb drive.

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.

I was able to load OTL.exe to the desktop, but I can't run it. I get an error saying the file is infected and do I wish to clean it up. If I click yes, it redirects me to the scareware's website to pay for their ransom money.
