Monitor flickers, new graphics card?

So, I bought a "new" computer at the Pawn shop for $39 :-) Problem is, when I hook it up to mu flatscreen monitor it flickers. I am using a switch and don't have the same problem on the other computer. I tried installing an updated driver (didn't work) and the settings can't be changed to a frequency higher than 60Hz, it gives me out of range message. Do i just need a new graphics card?

What is the graphic card model you're using?

How do I find that? Under my Device Manager it shows Intel 82815 Graphics Controller.

What type of monitor are you using? The graphic card most probably isn't able to support the monitor which also explains why you can change the frequency.

I solved it - the kvm switch was bad. thanks for your help!
