I am needing help getting rid of this virus, trogan, spyware or whatever it is. I am having to use a separate laptop from the infected laptop as the virus has disabled the internet explorer 8 from working properly as it gives an error message "can not display page" and does not recognize the wireless connection. Apparently, Windows Defender initially recognized the virus and quarantined it but somehow the startup process that runs the spoof pop up screens telling me it's infected and the issue disabling internet explorer got through. When I started to look for solutions, I found a post elsewhere that suggested downloading Spyware Doctor which I did run and it did stop the annoying start up spoof screens saying the computer was infected, however, it did not remove the problem from the PC without first wanting money for the program in order to fix the problem. This is frustrating to me as I already had Macaffee and Windows defender running on the PC when this problem occured. So I've read some posts here and the advice is to start with downloading HijackThis which I did and scanned the PC which came back with many files of concern. I have no idea which are safe to get rid of and am posting the log below. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the Proxy setting in Internet Explorer and/or in FireFox.

In Internet Explorer

1. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.
   

In Firefox

1. Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection > Choose "No Proxy"
   
2. Click the apply button and restart that computer in normal mode.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
