False Antivirus Issues

There is a program called "Eco Antivirus" on my operating system. Obviously, I didn't voluntarily download this software; it simply installed itself. Also, fake alerts are continuously popping up on my screen in 15 minute intervals. Finally, false alerts are popping up while I'm browsing, which include "This website is a reported Phishing site!".

Anyway, I will comply to *any* downloads that may be required for your assistance. Since I don't know how to obtain the most recent version of HiJack This, I'll need a legitimate link from a moderator.

Finally, once my problem is dealt with, I ask that the assisting moderator give me some recommendations/links to obtain software that increases the level of security on my operating system.

Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.
