On an XP system, I've downloaded Malwarebytes...
It wouldn't even let me get to the task manager to kill applications.
I found a file at bleepingcomputer.com called rkill.com which I run a few times and it removes things from the task manager so I can continue on. It takes 3 or 4 times.
Then, I run Malwarebytes Anti Malware and it finds 1 file. (Doesn't seem to matter if I do quick or full scan)
Anyway, then everything seems to run Ok... BUT... then I reboot and it seems to start all over again.
Not sure if I've just got files in there... or if we're dealing with registry settings now, but could sure use some help.
Please post any thoughts you have.
