Window vista Desktop problem

okay i have a problem on my desktop getting big resolution. after i hit ctrl +alt + down arrow key and it made everything on the desktop bigger. what should i do to make the resolution smaller?

Right click your desktop >> Properties, change the screen resolution from there, drag it to the right.
