System Hangs

I have been getting complete sytem hangs with no mouse or keyboard action available a few times a week now, and quite often there seems to be hefty ram usage. This mostly happens when I am in Firefox, but on occasions during normal windows usage.

I have run SuperAnti Spyware, and Malware Antibytes with no infections present, there doesn't seem to be any other problems apart form slow boot/shut down times.
I have the four main plug-ins as suggested here previously for use in Firefox.

Any help would be appreciated

Still wondering if anybody can help me.. Firefox seems to be the cause of my system hangs I think. It's crashing at least 6 times a day now. I have tried re-installing, with the same results happening.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

The MBAM team need a copy of that file, so were gonna zip a copy from your machine.

Go back into MBAM (normal mode this time, no need for the run command), go into the quarantine tab and restore those items again.

Now locate this file in bold:
C:\Program Files\SyncroSoft\POS\H2O\cledx.exe

Do you have Winzip/winrar installed on this machine? if so, right click the file in bold, and have Winrar/zip zip it up.

A file called cledx.zip/rar should appear.

Let me know if you get that far.

Cheers, I passed this onto the MBAM team. They are working on a way of fixing this since it's how the file is made that is setting off scanners.

You can set the false positive to Ignore in MBAM. Still getting system hangs?

Yes..

Mainly when in Firefox, but not always, sometimes when I right click in Explorer(windows) it happens. Takes a really long time to boot when I reset.

I recommend you remove the Java Quick Starter because it's not needed.
To do so, follow these instructions.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Java.
In the Java control panel, open the click the Advanced tab. Click the + in front of Miscellaneous and uncheck the Java Quick Starter box.

Any better now?

Boot up and Shutdown seemed to of improved. I'll give it a week to see if any other problems..

Will I be able to remove the same files on my other computer that Hi-Jack this brought up, to improve the start/shut down times?

Some of the same files appear in the log.

How is the other machine npw?

It still seems to be straggling a bit once windows has loaded..
I noticed there is a process called scanningprocess.exe

I presume this is part of the PC Guard, but it takes up between 60-120 mb memory, surely thats excessive. I can't seem to find an option to disable 'scan on start up option'

Theres no lagging, or delay in refreshing when using the computer now though.

Okay, lets get rid of PCGuard then, and see what happens.

• Open HijackThis.
  
• When Hijack This opens, click "Open the Misc Tools section"
  
• Then select "Open Uninstall Manager"
  
• Click on "Save List..." (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  
• Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.
  

Sorry for the delay, have been away..

The scanningprocess does not seem to be a problem now, after 20mins or so it goes down in memory usage...

Now, I can't get an internet connection on the computer.. if I do, it only lasts less than a minute...The status of the local area connection says connected, with no problems.
I have run the usual SuperAnti Spyware and MBAM...I can post these logs if you want. I also tried using the repair network connection with super anti.

I'm sure something is hi-jacking the connection.

Sorry I missed this, still having problems? there isn't too much running at startup and there is very few services running, so it shouldn't be too slow.

It's the internet connection that keeps dropping out. But only on this computer
It will work for a minute or so, and then nothing at all. Even though the icon in the notifacation area says it is connected.
