descriptionAlpha Antivirus Removal Help EmptyAlpha Antivirus Removal Help

more_horiz
I have updated flash and adobe and all critical updates. I tried using the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program, that is already on my computer, to remove the Alpha Antivirus. First I updated and did a quick scan and it showed 11 infections. I removed all checked and I am now able to use internet explorer without it redirecting me to another page where it says that my computer is infected and the icons are no longer showing in the system tray. The Alpha Antivirus is still showing up in the add remove programs and I believe my computer is still infected. I downloaded hijackthis and am posting the log file here:

I've restarted the computer after running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.41. The AAntivirus is still showing in my start menu. Does this mean that I am still infected and how do I get rid of it? Just want to say thank you for helping me with this.

I completed the tasks above. The AAntivirus is still showing in my start menu. My Windows defender detected the AAntivirus and I removed the issues it detected. After-wards the AAntivirus is no longer showing up in the start menu. The computer seems to be running fine so far, hopefully this solved the problem. Thank you so very much for all your help.

Hello.
Just delete it from your start menu, it's just a leftover.
