Cleaned out the Antivirus System PRO but now...

I cleaned out the Antivirus System PRO (ASP go figure) using Stopzilla. Then I loaded and ran Registry Defense. I have cleaned up everything but the 800+ errors in the File/Path References area. When I have the RegDef go and fix these errors I can no longer get the internet. I then go back and restore the 800+ errors and I can get to the internet. So all is still not corrected.

I could use some advise on how to clean up my registry and still have access to the internet. Thanks in advance.

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

After I check the boxes and select fix checked, I get an error message with instructions to click yes so that the error will be reported to HijackThis.

Yes I did run it and it found some virus/malware. It removed those.

OK, I'll do this first thing in the morning.

One note, I can get to the interenet if I leave all the errors that Registry Defense finds in place.

If I run the fix in RegDef then I get no access to the internet. I have done a restore so that I have the internet access. The logs that I have sent to you are the logs with the internet access in place (with the restore in place). Would it be better if I sent you the logs prior to the restore when I have no internet access? (when I have preformed the RegDef fix and can not get internet access?)

Don't use RegDef at all, I'm not sure of it's rep and how effective it is.

RegDef is a commercial software made by Xionix.

  2. During the download, rename Combofix to Combo-Fix as follows:
  
  
  
  
  
  3. It is important you rename Combofix during the download, but not after.

• The Recovery Console will be installed.
  
• You will then get this next prompt that asks if you want to continue the malware scan, select yes
  
  
  
  
• Allow combofix to run
  
• Post C:\combofix.txt back here.
  
  Note:
  Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

• Next run the file; *Note: If running vista right click and select run as administrator
  
• Once opened, navigate to the log tab and select all the areas including the hȋdden objects only box and click on the create log button
  
• A scan will start and then a window will pop up with two options, select scan all drives
  
• Once finished it will give you a location where it was saved, navigate to that place usually the desktop, and open the log, post all the contents of the log back here.
