Norton won't do a full System Scan only a quick scan

My friend has kindly recommended you to me and this is first time I have used this site.

Please can somebody help me?

I contacted Norton yesterday because my full scan closes before its completed. I keep getting a message coming up saying 'Symantec Service Framework stopped working and was closed'. However a quick scan will work ok.

Norton put me onto their virus department where I paid £70 for a virus removal. This didn't cure the problem, so Norton have told me to contact Microsoft as its a problem their end.......guess what, their saying a its Norton confliction with Windows Vista.

I've had Vista since October 2007 and not had this problem before.
