Had several trojans and installed Malwarebyte which removed several on scan then some during reboot. Now I can't get to any website. Also tried running the malwarebyte in safe mode and it comes back with no threats found? also tried to go into task manager to end several svchost.exe files whith no help. I can't do a hijack log because I can't get to internet and if you can get one from the cmd prompt, I don't know the cammands. i'm running xp home on dell 600m laptop. Hello.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs.

    Ask Toolbar


  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Please re-open Malwarebytes, click the Update tab, and click Check for Updates. Then, click the Scanner tab, select Perform Quick Scan, and press Scan.

Post the new log when done.
