Ok this morning I had a window pop up, saw it, and knew I was in trouble. We had something similar in the living room computer last year. I googled the "antivirus" and found out this is a very big problem with many people. One guy said he used "Spyware Doctor" to get rid of it with a download link. I've been using this for a year or so as I had gotten it with a download bundle, knowing it worked fine and already performing a full scan, stopped my scan and deleted all infections realizing it had found some very serious infections.

About a minute later my computer begins to shutdown, so I reboot and the virus is nowhere to be seen, so I decide to go online. A window that looks like a CMD window flashed and disappeared, nothing else happened. I am connected to the internet, but can't go on the internet, hence the reason I am writing this on the family computer. Only a handfull of software programs work, my drivers work, my documents, my computer, etc. McAffe works and so does Spyware Doctor. If you have any links to solve this I can download it to my flashdrive and put it on my desktop since my internet doesn't work. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

There is no error about permission but the CMD looking window is called desot.exe when it pops up I think, it appears and disappears so fast it's hard to tell.

Even so, every bit of what is happening helps me.

Please delete this file in red:
C:\Windows\system32\desot.exe

Next, download this file.

Download it to your Desktop.
Double click it to run it; select yes to the registry merge prompt.

Can you run exe files normally now?
