Infected with Win32trojantdss

Hi there

I appear to have been infected with the win32trojantdss malware. I can only run my computer on safe mode now and it's very frustrating. (Technically this is my brothers computer which I seemed to have messed up while his is away from home so I wouldn't know half the programs he has installed and is using).

I have tried running ad-aware and numerous other programs to remove it but failed miserably. I have followed all the instructions with downloading adobe etc. Please have a look at the HJT log posted below. (I removed the malware with Ad aware first before I ran the HJT scan. I hope this wont affect the scan in any way as the malware is still there after i reboot the system) Any help will be highly appreciated and please let me know if you need any further information.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Hi

I have downloaded the program however I cannot install it.

Specifically, I am in safe mode because the computer fails to boots itself up. I have downloaded the program onto my desktop and double clicked on it to open. I click run to begin the installation process however nothing happens even after a long time. It appears that I cannot install numerous other programs even though I am logged in with administrator privledges.

When I right click then select run as and then ok, it gives me an error:

c:\Documents and Settings\Johnny\Desktop\mbam-setup.exe

A device attached to the system is not functioning.
