Unable to run antivirus or antispyware

We are stumped.
Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, and Norton Internet Security will not run.
Everything else will run.
System tray has a message reading "Windows has detected a virus...".
Have a fake "Windows Security Center" control panel.
Any suggestions?

Hold on. We may have figured it out.
Renamed "mbam" to just "a" and were able to run quick scan.
Found and removed 48 objects. Restarting now.
