Power Options Not Available

When I try to set the power options, I have no power schemes & all the settings are dimmed & not available. I have a Sell Inspiron 1520 laptop & am running XP. I only have one log in as me - the administrator.

What can I do?

Hello,

If you hold the Fn button and press the up and down arrow keys this should be able to adjust the brightness of the screen.

My problem is with changing the power schemes, where you can set when to turn off the monitor & hard disk, & when to go into standby & hibernate modes.
