Help with Antivirus System Pro

I downloaded Malwarebytes but when I try to run it I get errors, Runtime error = 0, and Runtime error 440 automation error so it won't run. I ran Hijackthis and here is my log

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

You don't need to do a full scan, do a quick scan instead.
Did you remove everything it found? MBAM says no action taken in that log.

Yes it did remove everything and all seems well. Thank you so much for your support. After I contacted you my wife let me know her computer had a similar "anitvirus" problem. I had to start her computer in safe mode to download Malwarebytes and run it. I updated her Norton antivirus software and ran it before Malwarebytes and it didn't find any problems. What antivirus program do you recommend to stop this from happening in the first place?

I downloaded Antivir software and ran it but it won't finish loading. When I fill in my personal information a dialup access box pops up (I am already connected on DSL) the error says to check the date, internet accessability,and firewall settings. These all check good, I even turned the firewall off for this process but I get the same errors.
