Games not working properly

Some of my games were working perfect before but now they dont there are graphic problems and speed problems in my games.. I have a 1Gb graphic card. this problem started after i had installed the driver for my graphic card. I'm not entriely sure that that is the case. I dont know what has happened but i think it is a malware or something that is avoiding the game play. Or it is something that i am not aware of. I am in a desperate need of help. Any help is welcome. Thanks

Like there are graphical issues and the game lags too much now

Incompatibility issues might cause this to happen. Do you have the latest graphic drivers installed?

Yes I do have it. I us the Nvidia GTX 260m 1Gb graphic card and so I downloaded the driver for that graphic card. But still the problem remains the same and I canno fix it. The games I play lag so much and I seem to understand why. Before the games were running perfectly fine and on high graphics but I even tried to reduce the grphics quality but it is still the same. I need help.

What OS are you playing the games on? What are the titles of the games?

check task manager to see if your system is loaded up before you start your games, if not do you move many large files around constantly? try a defrag.
How much RAM do you have?
