system security virus 2009

Hi. Thanx4 being there. I have 2 friends who have both taken on the sys sec 5.? virus that seems 2 b spreading . My ? is : what steps can I take 2 remove it (without a xfer device), I have the ibm thinkpad of 1 of them, the other is on a desktop. Any assistance u can render will b appreciated .

Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

You'll need to transfer the Hijack This installer via USB to the thinkpad as I need a log from the infected machine.

ok I think I have the thinkpad log on the stick. I'll see if I can xfer it now. Thnx 4 hanging in there w/me. Kinda nu to all this tech stuff. ok . that doesn't seem 2 b it/ Imma try 2 log onto my gmail from the thinkpad and do it sirectly.
