Suspicious.MH690.A

Ive browsed the forum to get some information about this "Virus" and from what I get it's quite serious, anyway my Norton Constantly inform me that "Suspicious.MH690.A have been detected and blocked" I also recently had some problems with Norton blocking Backdoor.Trojan but it never removes anything, only blocks.

Programs like Mbam, Spybot, Ad-Aware, Norton Dont find any threats on my computer, just want to know if im safe or not. Thank you in advance! (Vista Home user)

Logs look good. I wouldn't be suprised if Norton and AVG are conflicting here, running TWO antivirus' is a bad idea.

• Open HijackThis.
  
• When Hijack This opens, click "Open the Misc Tools section"
  
• Then select "Open Uninstall Manager"
  
• Click on "Save List..." (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  
• Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.
  

Normaly im just running Norton but since it told me it found the Suspicious.MH690.A but nothing about removal I DL'ed AVG as well to see if the scans showed any different.

Hello.

Completely Uninstall Norton software using:

• SymNRT.exe
  

Instructions

1. Please download and save SymNRT.exe to your desktop.
   
2. Close all programs and double click on the tool.
   
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
   
4. Restart the computer if asked.
   
5. Then delete the SymNRT.exe tool from your desktop.
   
6. Open the Program Files folder on your local disk ( normally C: )
   
7. Find and delete the following folders (if present):
   
   
   
   • Norton AntiVirus
     
   • Norton Internet Security
     
   • Norton SystemWorks
     
   • Norton Personal Firewall
     

Once you have done that, post a NEW uninstall list log, there is other items that need to go.

Can I choose to uninstall AVG instead? Cause the Norton im using is a paid version.

When im uninstalling AVG I get this message;

Suspicious.MH690.a - Mozilla Firefox


Thats the "virus" I was talking about and what connection to Firefox does it have?

Nothing, it just wants you to close Firefox while it's uninstalling.

Both AVG and Java is now uninstalled, but I dont see this will lead to Suspicious.MH690.a dissapearing, are you saying that I dont need to worry about it?

Having two AV's running leads to conflicting softwares, which isn't good.
Lets look around now.

• Please download DDS by sUBs to your Desktop (Important!!) from one of these locations:

• When complete, two logs will open. Save both of the report to your Desktop.
  
• Copy and paste DDS.txt back here, I don't need to see attach.txt.
