Will doing all this remove all of these offending items? because by their name it appears that some are connected to things (i think) i would want to keep.

Hijack This doesn't delete anything, just stops the run values so they don't load at startup, the items are still on your machine and can be started via the Start Menu if needed.

done and done. I told Hijack this to fix corrected problems. Anything else I should do? Thanks btw.

Nope. The startup should be quicker and overall performance should be better too.

This just in, Spybot won't do a scan for me because it says it requires updates but when i go to "updates" it thinks it wants to play a game that looks like Minesweeper, that or it just blinks at me when i click the update button. I deleted and redownloaded and ran the program and it still does this. It used to run just fine before. It doesn't show up in the add/remove hardware thing in the control panel either. What has science done?!

this just in: computer running slowly but differently. I downloaded a few torrents, shut that off and it was fine for a time but nao its running slowly again. hijackthis scan to follow tomorrow.
