Do you want to learn how to fight malware?
Do YOU want to learn how to fight malware?
Spyware, viruses, trojans, adware, and all other bad stuff - learn how to effectively remove threats. If you like to help people, and would like to help other users get their computers clean - then you should do it!
There are quite a few places to learn. Learning how to fight malware is important, because those who are trained know how to fix a person's computer without damaging it in the process.
The training is self-paced, usually, but it does take several months to complete (6-9 months).
Most of the training is done by:
Unified Network of Instructors and Trained Eliminators - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The following are websites who host training facilities. This list is found on UniteAgainstMalware.com. The mission of these facilities is to teach normal people how to become malware fighters (in random order).

When you are finished with training, you will be issued with a graduation notice. You are expected to use your expertise, and actually help in the communities. Mostly, wherever you are trained at, you will be asked to serve time there. If you would like to serve time here, and you are on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], contact an administrator of this forum.

Hello James101,
have you decided to join a school? I would recommend it. The top 5 in the list are the most popular.

Are these like colleges? If so, do I have to have completed school to finish? I'm only 16 and I joined here hoping to have a problem fȋxed, but reading all the stuff that others have posted (ust out of curiosity) it sounds like you guys really know what you're doing - and I really hope I can learn to be like you because you guys are great!

Re: Do you want to learn how to fight malware?
Actually it is just free training. It is an intense 6-9 month (or longer) process of learning to use removal tools, and improving computer security. It can be rather difficult, but it is self-paced. Good research skills are a plus.
It took me a little over 5 months to go through two training schools. One training school is enough and usually takes 6 months.

Re: Do you want to learn how to fight malware?
I'll possibly check it out over the summer... I really want to get to being good with computers so I can help other people like you guys do.
Do you all have your own training school? Or would I have to go somewhere else and then apply here?

Re: Do you want to learn how to fight malware?
No school here...I listed them in my first post on this topic.
We only have two full-time malware experts here (Belahzur and me), so it takes up all of our time. When we get more malware removal advisors in here, I am guessing we might do something - but that is up to the admin/staff, not me.

The teachers are usually very patient, and willing to give any tutorials necessary to get you up to skill. From beginner, to advanced, they train anyone that is fully willing to learn. As teachers are very patient, students should be patient as well and learn as much as possible.

Re: Do you want to learn how to fight malware?
Oops, didn't mean to post that twice - I was reading Demysitifying the WIndows Registry while your response was posted...I actually learned a little bit! This is fascinating stuff, and being a victim is maddening as heck. One of the engineers at work tried to convince me to back up my data files to an external drive and wipe my drive clean then reinstall all my junk...I've been chatting up Geekpolice and I think he's changed his tune based upon my progress over the last 2 days. I'm betting that my friend Bhavesh is checking you guys out now
I may just have found a new interest too!
